Mentoring

Some questions do not fit in a book

If you are new to pediatrics, changing settings, teaching a course, or in the first months of a first job, you can book time with Kyan to reason through it together. Every call uses the same frameworks as the Pediatric PT Playbook, applied to the decision in front of you.

Who you are talking to

Kyan Sahba, PT, DPT, PhD, wrote the Pediatric PT Playbook from the gap she saw as a clinical instructor: students arrive with the knowledge and without a way to decide what matters first. Her pediatric practice spanned early intervention, school-based services, outpatient pediatrics, acute care, the NICU, pediatric oncology, and home health. She has served as a clinical instructor and university faculty member supervising DPT students, and her frameworks were featured in the three-part clinical reasoning series on the Pushing Pediatrics podcast.

What these calls are, and are not

These calls are professional education between clinicians. They are not patient care, clinical supervision, a second opinion for a specific patient, or legal or employment advice. Any case you bring must be de-identified. The treating clinician keeps full responsibility for the plan of care, and your employer, program, state practice act, and payer rules govern what you do. Calls do not carry CEU credit.
