BRAIN

Early intervention philosophy

  1. BBrain plasticity is highest
  2. RRoutines drive learning
  3. AAdults (caregivers) deliver the dose
  4. IIntervention is embedded
  5. NNatural environments matter

What it solves

BRAIN explains why early intervention from birth to three is structurally different from clinic-based pediatric PT, and why the therapist works as a developmental coach rather than the primary treater.

When to use it

Use BRAIN when you step into an EI visit and need to reset your model: the caregiver, not the session, delivers most of the dose, and the home routine is the treatment.

In practice

Early intervention is not just PT for younger kids. The brain is at peak plasticity, routines rather than exercises are the practice medium, caregivers deliver almost all of the dose between visits, intervention is embedded in daily life, and the home or daycare is the treatment space.
